The VAPS have realized that exclusive training is necessary for the upgradation of knowledge, skill development and attitude is a pre-requisite to a growing society. The VAPS has gained expertise in imparting training in the area of 'Training for trainers', Agriclinics & Agribusiness training, Skill development Training for SHGs and entrepreneurship training.
AGRI CLINIC TRAINING : The Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, in association with and through NABARD has launched a unique AC&ABC Training programme to take “better methods of farming” to farmers across the country. This programme aims at tapping the expertise available in the large pool of Agri and allied subject Graduates. The main objective of the Programme is to make available supplementary sources of input supply and services to needy farmers and to provide gainful employment to Agriculture graduates in the newly emerging areas of Agricultural sector. The Union Ministry of Agriculture has selected 60 Training institutes across India and VAPS is one among them. The Agri-Clinics & Agri-Business training programme is a ‘two months residential programme’ based at Madurai. For applying
NABARD FTTF : The training will focus on cultivation practices under the changed monsoon conditions, soil fertility, SRI techniques for rice cultivation, water management, Bank finances, value addition & marketing by the experts from concerned fields for farmers.M
SKILL DEVELOPMENT & CAPACITY BUILDING FOR SELF HELP GROUPS :
The aim of VAPS is to improve the status of women in the society by providing skill oriented training. The VAPS believes that improvement of women is possible ,only when they become self reliant and self sustained on their own. Based on this principle, the VAPS is training SHG’s on Agri trades such as cultivation and marketing of medicinal plants, nursery, cattle feed etc in order to make them successful entrepreneurs. These training not only help women being economically self-reliant but also provide self-confidence and lead to leaders in the chosen social / political arenas. The VAPS is ultimately keen to promote women as agents of social change in their own life.

NI-MSME :
In assistance with NI-MSME, Government of India VAPS is conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programme(EDP) , Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme(ESDP) , Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes in Madurai and Virudhunagar Districts.
