oday, VAPS has emerged as a premier inter-disciplinary research group with wide interests and capability in the areas of Communication, training and Social Research. New studies of a varied nature, such as, assessing communication needs, designing social messages, social marketing strategies and evaluating campaigns of development programmes are undertaken by VAPS.


Our spheres of research and expertise in the broad areas of social development include Poverty alleviation, Rural and Urban Development, Women and Child Development, Public Health, Education, Water Management, Labour, Social Welfare, Social Security etc. Research studies have been funded by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Women and child Development of Government of India and Ministry of Panchayati Raj, GoI.


Project monitoring and participatory evaluation is one of the core competent areas of VAPS and it has a team of expertise exclusively for the same. A communication gap analysis was undertaken as part of Bharti comtel Limited – APAC-VHS which has provided significant results on communication strategies. Our team members have also conducted a research study on different microfinance models associated to TASSOSS. The results enabled TASSOSS to arrive at a comprehensive microfinance model consisting of internal control, MIS, HRD, financial management and marketing operations of microfinance.
