RGF VILLAGE LIBRARIES
The VAPS is running 11 free tuition centres for the poor and disadvantaged children in the villages of Virudhunagar District through the KATHIR children’s clubs. In continuation of this endeavour VAPS has entered into an MOU with RAJIV GANDHI FOUNDATION with a goal to provide sustaining literacy facility to develop reading habits and enable the villagers to read the books/literature in the Villages. The Village libraries helps to inform, empower, enable and entertain the local educated masses in the targeted 10 villages. The library is helping the students of these villages, especially senior school and college level students, to equip themselves in their further studies and employment. All the libraries are given with magazines; subscription of daily news paper, Employment News, weekly magazines, Agricultural News letter etc., the village library is being self - managed by the empowered community level volunteers identified by the gram panchayats. This is being monitored and supervised by VAPS.
STUDENTS CAREER COUNSELING CENTRES
With the fast growing technology, students from rural areas are being marginalized in the competitive environment. We have analyzed that it is not the scarcity of talent but inadequacy of awareness on the fast changing requirements in all walks of life. Keeping this in mind, VAPS has setup students counseling centre. It provides psychological support and guidance to the talents that are available in villages and help them to limelight. It also gives the students proper guidance in terms of their career, higher education, specialization and their mental well being through counseling, coaching, training and employment through references and contacts.
