With the technical support of MANAGE, Ministry of Agriculture, GoI, VAPS conducted one year Diploma Course for Input Dealers. As the National Policy stressed on the need for reforms in Agricultural Extension Services in India, the Ministry of Agriculture strongly emphasized on optimal use of multi agency extension services in transfer of technology via Agri Input dealers and NGO sector. The main aim of the course is to educate the input dealers to scale up the technical and agri extension activities.

This Diploma Programme was started implemented by VAPS  in 2013 since then it got momentum in Madurai , Dindigul and Theni districts of Tamil Nadu. The course was framed comprehensively covering both theory and practical approaches that fulfilled the needs of the input dealers. The course was conducted in weekend and day long and the substantial information and relevant topics handled by the experts from agrisector. Indeed, the training enhanced the level of the understanding and approaches pertaining to agriculture extension.

The training is by and large appreciated by the Directorate of Agriculture, Governemnt of Tamil Nadu and needless to say, there is a overwhelming response among the input dealers.
